Snow Birds
Enjoy the winter snow days with your children and decorate your snow-filled yard with bird snow sculptures!
Materials Needed
- Cups of water
- Food coloring
- Paint Brushes
- Seeds
- Dried fruit
Steps
- Drop food coloring in your cups of water to make all of the "paint" colors you desire.
- Go outside and build a bird out of the snow. Sometimes using a little water to help shape your bird can help. Birds can be standing, sitting on a next, whatever is desired.
- Paint your snow bird. Use a field guide or the internet to model your sculpture after a Colorado bird species or use your imagination to create your very own bird.
- Use seeds and dried fruit to decorate your bird. Dried fruit works well for the eyes and seeds can be used to fashion a beak. The bird in your yard will love to eat the seeds and fruit!
